On September 9, 2016, Super Quik Inc. held its annual golf tournament at River Bend Golf Course, starting out cool and then clearing to reveal a sunny day at around 75 degrees, which made for a beautiful day of golfing. Eighteen teams of four lined up to play the eighteen hole course. The course had a few unusual holes thrown in for fun, such as hole#4 where you had to drive the golf ball with a baseball bat, Hole #13 the old school hole where you used old classic clubs to play, hole# 16 the off handed hole where you had to play left handed if you were right handed and right if you were left.
All golfers received the best goody bag in the business and were treated to a great lunch catered by Angie Johnson, Brandy Seagraves, and Jack McCoy of the Grayson Super Quik Deli. All proceeds from the outing go to sponsor area seniors with college scholarships. The tournament was a great success as always, but not without the participation of everyone who played, our sponsoring vendors, and employee volunteers for all their help. Make sure you make plans to attend next year’s tournament.
